The designs for "Pomona", the Goddess-of-Fruit, were taken from a number of the finest English
fruit books and have been magnificently reproduced for Portmeirion by FX Leipold of Germany.
Susan chose each one of the luscious fruits that are used in Pomona. Hand made under a license
from Portmeirion in the USA. Hand made tiles are thicker than machine made tiles & the finished
size is smaller that stated size. Example: machine made 4" x 4" tiles are actually 4-1/4" x 4-1/4"
compared to handmade tiles that are 3-7/8" x 3-7/8". Available in Snow White Gloss or Vanilla
